On a sunny Saturday morning, January 18, 2025, Pastor Fr Steven and a hearty band of OMC parishioners, led by Deacon David Martinez and Deacon Greg Settelmayer, turned out for the 13th annual Walk for Life, sponsored by the Diocese of San Diego. 

Jorge Martinez and Deacon Greg carried the OMC banner for the mile and half walk around the County Administration Building. Parishioners and Knights, John Ohle and Ed Brancheau and a host of other Knights attired in their Knights regalia led the Walk and escorted Cardinal McElroy and the other Bishops of the Diocese. 

The theme of the event was ” LIFE IS A RIGHT, NOT AN OPTION. The Keynote speaker was Ramona Trevino, the Outreach Director of the International association of 40 DAYS FOR LIFE. Her inspirational speech before approximately 2500 persons, described her transition from a former manager of a Planned Parenthood abortion facility to a member of 40 DAYS FOR LIFE organization. She credited the prayers of 40 Days for Life participants praying outside her abortion facility with helping her change her life
