May all refugees find safe and loving communities and may each of us have the courage to stand and act in defense of human dignity for all.
St. Thérèse of Lisieux (1873-1897) was a French Carmelite sister whose autobiography has inspired Catholics across the world to deepen their relationship with God. She died at 24 from tuberculosis and is currently the youngest person to be named a Doctor of the Church.

Faith can start small, Jesus tells us — as small as the tiniest seed on earth. But it’s up to us to surround that seed with good, nutritious soil, to nourish it with sunlight and water, and to tend to it lovingly so that it will grow.

St. Philip Neri was an Italian priest who served both the rich and poor of Rome with a jovial spirit. He founded The Congregation of the Oratory, a secular order which includes priests and brothers and does not bind them under religious vows, but instead by a bond of charity.
There's a lot of movement during a Catholic Mass — standing, sitting, kneeling. Standing is a sign of respect and wonder, so it's a fitting prayer posture at Mass.

God’s family is not a country club — you don’t need the right pedigree or the proper connections to join. Christ claims everyone who does the will of God. Let us call upon the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts, that we may live in kinship with Christ.
