Thanksgiving came early at OMC as our seniors gathered together to give thanks for all the blessings received this year and the friendships that have helped us through the challenges. 

Father Sylvester spoke of the joy in sharing this feast in community as we thank God for all He has given us.  Father reminded the younger volunteers to honor the wisdom of our seniors and to recognize all that their elders have done for them, as he honors the elder Bishop who ordained him years ago in Nigeria.

Delicious turkey dinners from San Diego Catering Co. were served to the guests and the  festive room was filled with friendly chatter.

We thank the Knights of Columbus for the tremendous job they did plating over 100 turkey dinners in 15 minutes! John, Mel, Rick, Jim, Antolin, Barbara and Marie, YOU WERE AWESOME!

The entire team of 25 volunteers was incredible throughout the 3 course meal, and we thank you all.

A special thanks goes out to some generous patrons for their donations to the senior luncheon, which helped keep the celebration affordable.

Next month, we will host our senior Christmas lunch and sing-along. Bobbi Cawdrey will lead us in song, so tell her your favorite Christmas carols. Come join the fun! Thursday, Dec. 18th at 11:30.
