“Come All Ye Faithful”

The parish hall was alive with the sound of music Thursday as our senior parishioners gathered for the annual Christmas sing-along. The luncheon began with the group writing over 100 cards for patients who will be at Balboa Naval Hospital for Christmas. Father Sylvester blessed the crowd, after which they sang “Adeste Fideles.”

The buffet luncheon provided by San Diego Catering Co. was well received by the hungry guests.  Ham, scalloped potatoes, mixed veggies, salad and Hawaiian rolls disappeared quickly.

 

Santa and his helper spread good cheer by  dropping small stocking s of goodies at every table. After cake and cookies, Bobbi Cawdrey brought out her guitar and led the singing of 10 carols. She was joined on stage by Linda Colletti, Jane and John Hargrove, and Jack Beresford. From “Joy to the World” to “Blue Christmas” to “Feliz Navidad”, the crowd sang with gusto and appreciated the festive atmosphere.
