MINISTRY CORNER

For several years OMC has helped support the Interfaith Shelter Network. 

The Network involves 100+ congregations of all denominations county-wide in a Rotational Shelter program. About 40 of the congregations host the program in their facilities for two or four weeks a year and the remainder serve in a valuable support role, providing volunteers for meals and overnight hosting, transportation and donations. 

This year we will be coordinating two weeks from 18 Jan – 1 Feb 2025, and Clairemont Lutheran will use our facility to host from 1 -15 Feb 2025. 

After each Mass on December 7 and 8, 2025, we will have signup for food donations, dinner preparation, setup, cleanup and sleep over support.
