INQUIRIES ABOUT THE CATHOLIC FAITH: INQUIRY sessions. These sessions are for Adults who are just beginning their faith journey; who are not yet baptized or those who were baptized in another faith tradition and now seek to know more about the Catholic faith. For more information contact Deacon Scott Wall at 858-274-3859 or firstname.lastname@example.org
RCIA – The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, or RCIA, is a series of classes that present an adult exploration of the Catholic faith. RCIA is a chance for people to learn the basics of what it means to be Catholic, to ask their burning questions, and to seek ways to more fully open their lives to Jesus Christ. RCIA is primarily for adults considering becoming Catholic and for Catholics who were never Confirmed. RCIA prepares men and women to make a conscious choice whether or not they want to receive the sacraments of initiation offered by the Catholic Church (Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation).
At Our Mother of Confidence, we offer opportunities for others to also join in this process. We do this in recognition that faith is a lifelong journey, and that many people who have been Catholic their entire lives are now ready to ask NEW questions as adults. Come and join us to learn more about this process! Coffee and Refreshments will be served.
Formal classes will begin in the fall and info sessions will be held throughout the summer. For more information, contact Deacon Scott Wall at: 858-274-3859 or email@example.com

REACH MORE – CONNECT TO CHRIST
Mother of Confidence introduced “Reach More – Connect to Christ” small groups beginning in March of 2017. These small groups will meet weekly for 7 weeks and there will be 2 “cycles” every year. It is our hope that these groups will help us grow more and more as a parish community and the next cycle is being planned for Fall 2017. Other parishes in the diocese have had great success with their groups and one of them now has over 300 people presently involved.
These small groups are designed to help us deepen our faith and grow in connection with Jesus and others, while growing our parish community. They are led by parishioners who have been trained in facilitating Spirit‐filled conversation.
These small groups will gather in a variety of locations – such as peoples’ homes or local coffee shops – to discuss life and faith, reflect on a scripture passage and discuss how it might apply to our daily lives – as well as pray for and with one another. There are no teachers and students in small groups, just friends seeking and discovering God.
The groups are open to women and men – 18 and older – whether you are married or single – working or retired – children at home or empty-nesters. These groups are perfect if you simply want to be around other people who want to experience more of the peace, hope, and abundant life that Jesus said he came to give us.

SHARE THE WORD – continues every Wednesday morning in the St. Paul Room from 9:00-10:00 am. Join us as we pray, explore and discuss the scripture readings of the upcoming Sunday liturgy.
THE OMC LIBRARY – is located in the St. Katharine Drexel Room along the East Wall of the room. All are invited to explore our offerings and check a maximum of two items out for two weeks at a time. Hours are consistent with Religious Education programs during the week and on Sunday mornings.
FOCUS ON SUNDAY READINGS – is a group which meets on Wednesdays from 4-5 pm. We reflect on the upcoming Sunday Readings, followed by discussions. It is a good way to keep the Word of God with you the whole week until you hear it proclaimed on Sunday during mass. Come and experience how living with the Word can influence your life. Our group meets during the school year when the children are in our Religious Education classes. Parents are encouraged to participate, while the kids are busy.
All are Welcome.
