Here at Our Mother of Confidence, we are serious about being good stewards to the environment; preserving God’s gifts and passing these blessings on to the future generations. From time to time, we will post ideas on how to protect and preserve our mother earth.

Below is an interesting article from and Interfaith Power and Light, a wonderful interfaith ministry that is responding to our Pope’s call for environmental stewardship.

The article has some great ideas for preserving God’s bounty throughout the year, while reducing your carbon footprint at the same time.

What is one way in which we can do this? By canning. That’s right. What is old is new and hip again…kind of like us Catholics.
